4 tools to measure putting green firmness

This looks at a classic post from a few years ago in which I discussed four tools used to measure surface hardness (firmness) of golf course putting greens. Andrew McDaniel joined me on this episode to provide more insight into these tools.
The post discussed in this episode is https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/surface-hardness-correlations/. I planned to discuss this one also but decided to hold that discussion for another episode: https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/density-plots-clegg-putting-greens/. I was joined by Andrew McDaniel (https://twitter.com/drumcturf) for this discussion.

I also mentioned the chart from Steve Isaac showing the target firmness levels for links course championship events. You can see that chart in this post: https://www.asianturfgrass.com/post/three-things-to-do-with-om246-data-right-now/
